Seizing the spotlight

Compelling research needs savvy writing, packaging and advocacy to get in the spotlight.  University of Michigan professor Jeff Stein received a competitive grant for vehicle-2-grid technology, then served on a green mobility panel at AAAS in 2010. 

He was fairly green when it came to seeking media attention and understanding the competitive nature of panel discussions. Effective writing, media coaching, press materials and on-site support enabled his work, his message and the U-Mich brand to reach broad audiences.
Result:  A confident, well prepared scientist and engaging materials resulted in top-tier coverage that spanned two years.
